In this tutorial we'll design an album cover for a mediation DVD.

Create a new file of DVD cover size. Press D to set forground and background colors to default B&W.

From filter menu select Render>>Difference Clouds.

From filter menu select Filter Gallery.

Use underpainting and plastic wrap filters and apply the setting accordingly

From Layer Palette click "Create new fill or Adjustment layer" and select Hue/Saturation.

Apply settings as shown below.

Press Ctrl+E to merge the layer with layer below. From FIlter menu select Render>>Lens Flare.

Apply settings as shown below.

Now you can either use a ready made silhouette image of a person practicing meditation or you can convert an image into silhouette.

Create selection using magic wand tool. Press Ctrl+C to copy the selection.

Press Ctrl+V to paste it on the main file.

From bottom of the layer palette click on "Add vector mask".

Press D to reset the foreground and background colors to default B&W. Select gradient tool. Apply in linear mode to create a soft blend.

Take two duplicates of the meditation guy layer.

Right click one of the layers and right click to select Flip Horizontal.
