| Greeting with your photos |
In this tutorial we will create a greeting card design with the photograph of the near and dear ones. What better way of telling them, that how much they mean to you. Here's the output.
Create a new document in photoshop. Using custom shape
Using green as forground colour, press shift and create the shape on the main file. ![]() You can delete the background layer. We don't need this any more. ![]() After selecting the shape you have just created, from edit menu select define patten. ![]() You can name the pattern for a future reference. We named it greeting_pattern. ![]() Create a new layer. Create a rectangle using rectangular shape ![]() Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown. ![]() Apply Pattern Overlay from the layer style window and select the pattern we created a few steps before. This pattern is saved with the name greeting_pattern.

Create a rectangle using rectangular shape ![]() Double click the layer to open layer style window and apply settings as shown. ![]() Using pen ![]() Open an image that you want to display on the greeting card. And this can be your own image or image of the person you are going to gift the card. ![]() Place the image over the shape created in an earlier step. ![]() From filter menu select Blur>>Gaussian Blur. ![]() Apply settings as shown below. ![]() From Edit menu select Fade Gaussian Blur. ![]() Apply settings as shown below. ![]() ![]() Change the layer mode to screen. Reduce the opacity to 70%. ![]() ![]() Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown. ![]() ![]() Type in the greeting message using a nice for and apply from the style is shown below to decorate the text.
